In order to avoid any misunderstandings regarding reservations, the following are our terms of trading. In choosing Nyama Spitbraai as your Spit Roast | Pig Roast Specialist, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Confirmation by Customers

Please note that a booking is only confirmed once the deposit reflects in our account and the tax reference number was used as payment reference, no verbal, written or any other form of confirmation is accepted unfortunately.

Spitbraai Machine Specifications

Please note that the following is the specs of our gas spit roast machinery:

width - 90cm
height - 1.43 m
length - 1.53m

Please check these specifications before you place a query to see if the machine will fit your chosen venue.

Amendments and Final Numbers by Customers

10 days prior to the function no changes will be accepted, this includes catering numbers, final details on timing, food and special instructions.

Deposits and Payments

We require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking. (NB please phone to check availability before making a deposit as the deposit is non-refundable) The tax reference number must be used as payment reference when paying the deposit.

Remember: All prices quoted on the website are excluding VAT.

We require the final payment available in our account before we leave our premises on the day of the function.

If you want to settle the balance in cash on the day of the event, please arrange this with our office.

Unfortunately we do not accept cheque deposits.

General Liability

We do not accept liability for any failure to provide the service contracted which are due to circumstances beyond our control, including electricity and water failures or fire alarm evacuation.

Public Liability

To protect ourselves against any 3rd Party Claims, Nyama Spitbraai has obtained Full Public Liability insurance.

Newsletter

By submitting the 'get a quote' form you automatically sign up for our monthly newsletter. If you do not wish to receive the newsletter please use the 'unsubscribe' option in the latest letter sent to you.

From January to October our minimum catering requirements are for 35 adults and any choice of menu. During November and December Friday’s are reserved for functions with 100 guests or more and Saturday’s 50, these functions must also be for menu’s equivalent or more than R99.99 per person. Monday’s to Thursday’s and Sundays we can assist with a minimum of 35 adults.

Unfortunately we cannot do any site visits before the event as we book between 15 and 20 different functions per day so it is impossible to meet with all of these clients.

All our procedures, menus and requirements are freely available on our website and are also sent with all email correspondence during and after quoting & invoicing. On the day of the event we also arrive early enough to inspect the setup and serving area to decide with the client how to proceed.

You are more than welcome to send us pictures and a detailed description of how the setup and serving should work if you are not happy with our standard setup & service.

Please ensure that you are happy with our serving methods and utensils, you are more than welcome to supply us with that special salad bowl you got from grandma if you don’t like ours ☺

Kindly make sure that the physical address, cell number for contact person, menu and serving time is correct.

Please ensure that we have clear directions or a map to your venue, it is your responsibility to make sure that we know exactly where we are going.

When Nyama Spitbraai services attend your event you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication,exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecast, advertising inclusion on websites. You further waive all rights you may have to any claims in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication.
